OK.... ....we've got the sadge rising.... only 3 of us here so far, I am wondering what your sun sign is and perhaps how you feel it interacts with your sadge rising.... ..........my sun sign is Taurus, and as you can imagine it plays hell since the sadge is so spontaneous and the Taurus is so steady. And people wonder why I'm so odd..... :)

Hi, number 4 here. My sun sign is also sagittarius, so it's hard to say where one starts and the other leaves off.

I'm not entirely sure I follow your question exactly, but I'm thinking you're supposing that I am stubborn about my individuality. Anyway, no, I'm generally not too stubborn about much. When it comes to people trying to get me to do things I don't want to do, I can be extremely stubborn. Other than that, there's generally not too much I don't want to do, and I'm pretty easy going.

that's what stubborness is, friend -- not letting people push you around, because you at least know where you are at and where you want to go. Stubbornnesss (sp?) can be a very desirable and worthwhile quality.

With my sun in Virgo and sag. rising I also have turned out pretty wierd.
Virgos are known for being exact, analytical, calm, and settled.

I am still analytical, but not so exact or settled...

I tend to be transient, even though I wish to find at least a permanent home base, or two or three...
I just moved out of the country, even though I was very happy in the bay area. I love traveling.

I can be very extroverted in my artistic/physical expression, even though I can be shy, as virgos tend to be.

Sagi sun/sagi rising can be an irrating combination. My brother happens to be. Not to say you are since I haven't met you.

Anyways, I'm a scorpio. I find this takes the edge of the brooding tendencies. I'm livelier and more social than most scorpios seemingly. I find that scorpios fascination with the metaphysical blends nicely with sagi's philanthropist nature. Lately my minds been to very interesting places indeed.

His sense of humour can tends to be annoying and in your face. And you know sagi's like to joke around. I find most ppl with sun and rising tend to be very unbalanced bringing out both the good and bad to high levels.
I know someone with sun, moon, and rising all in scorpio. Now that makes for a scary individual. Scorpio sun, or rising by themselves usually aren't so bad. In my experience, I've found scorpio moon ppl to have very strong manipulative capabillities. But they're also based on physhic insights as all water moons are very psychic. I'm not saying I advoid them. I just make sure I examine their motives.

I think you're dead on with that statement.

Remember. Motives direct actions, and if you know someone's motives, then you will know their next action.

To me results are more important than motives. It's a matter of probablility. If someone shows me shitty results, I rub the shit in their face ---------- I don't judge myself for it but it's the way I operate.

Most people just throw smoke in my face and expect/hope I will follow them once I see them convincingly again ---------- not a good policy if you want to attract grounded & Earth-bound powerful people.

It's odd being a male, in spite of my programming, feeling as though I AM the one being used for sexual purposes. I didn't ask to be born in California.

I think one of the things that makes taurus's and scorps opposite, is that tauruses are concerned with tangable things, where as scorps are concerned with the intangable. Things like power and control etc. Tauruses are really awesome ppl though. I love em so much.

lol..... just having some fun Gawain. taureans do seems to love the tangible & secure things in life. that's why it's so ANNOYING having a sadge rising, as I also like to bounce around, but like a lumbering bull I get hit hard sometimes if anyone's on the rampage at a given moment (and I have the body mass to absorb it).

I'm Sag-Sag-Cancer moon. I find that in public I have One personality; very outspoken, sometimes loud, always in the mix, and certainly don't dare me to do anything cause I will. But at home I am quiet, sensitive, creative, and need my SPACE. This makes for a pretty wierd combo I think. The double sag tends to emphisize the crazy sometimes. Always torn between the go and the stay home...

          That's me too! Sag-Sag-Cancer moon. :)
I'm not terribly outspoken (but hardly ever loud) in public. Crowds tend to turn me into a wallflower. At home, I'm just what you described.

I can be crazy sometimes too. Yes, always torn between the go and the stay home. I tend to follow others' lead on that. If no one invites me to do anything, I stay home. If they do, I go out! And I have a great time. :)

I'm a Virgo Sun with a Cancer Moon. I was terribly shy for many, many years. I credit my Sagittarius Rising for getting me out into the physical world...and for helping me to be able to handle the spotlight, sometimes. I don't believe it conflicts with my Virgoness at all...they help me balance. I wouldn't deny oddness, tho'.

I love the spotlight though I like to wait to see what others make of themselves before I reveal much about my inner being to them. I guess I have my Sadge rising to thank for my earlier exploits in music performance. (but as an only child w/youngly divorced an uncommunicative parents, I had no preparation for competition on an adult/visceral scale -- some people try way too hard when others are just trying to be peaceful).

Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon, Sag Rising (of course)...

How does Sag Rising interact with Leo Sun? Well, when I move, I don't just move a few miles down the road... I move across the country! :) It drives my family crazy... I've done it 4 times now.

Actually, I think the Sag Rising is a wonderful compliement to the Leo Sun. I am carefree, happy and optimistic. :) But, it makes me do things, in even BIGGER ways.

Luckily, I'm a mellow-type Leo (probably because of the Scorpio Moon). I can't imagine what I'd be like if I was one of the really boisterous ones. I'd probably have to be locked up or something. :)

I have a Leo sun as well, and I agree that the Sag is a nice complement. I'm also very optimistic and positive, and have been described as a "mellow" Leo. I wonder if it's the Sag rising that helps to temper the Leo-ness a bit. I have an Aries moon which, like Scorpio, can be pretty intense. Maybe our rising sign helps keep us in check. (I've also got three planets in Virgo, which probably helps as well).

I'm a Leo with a Sag rising and a Gemini moon.
In other words, I am an incredibly firey, outoing, loud, confused and overly ambivalent individual who also must be the center of attention... ;)
I believe my moon plays alot harder than my rising though.
Any ideas of how a Sag rising is supposed to work with a Leo sun?

I agree with jorga - I feel like my Leo/Sag combo works nicely for me. I could see how your Gemini moon might throw a monkey wrench into things however, since Gemini opposes sag and you said your moon influence is strong. Your two fire signs are telling you to go go go, and your moon wants to think it over...a lot.

My girlfriend has a Gemini moon and Mercury in Cancer - her sister tells her "you've got your head in your heart and your heart in your head!" ;)

wow I am exactly like you!! ... literally ...

I too think that Sag rising compliments the Leo Sun nicely .. but I could do without the watery intensity of my Scorpio moon ugh annoying!! so yeh I do find that Im a mellow type leo .. but all those three signs in those planets are so strong .. fire and water ... and sometimes its really annoying and hard because I do feel like a scorpio sometimes which I hate coz I just like to be happy and carefree and fun loving all the time ... which I am most of the time (I think! haha) .. but yeh I am also scared that the ppl that I get close to will freak out when they see just how intense I can get hence why I always keep a tight lid on emotions .. though my leo sun and sag rising compensate for that .. so I appear emotional and fiery anyway (but in a more sunny way) ... ugh its hard being me!! lol

Scorpio sun, Sag rising, Capricorn moon. I'm quite the intense individual.

The Sag rising seems to tie together & eliminate a few of my negative Scorpio tendencies & the negative Capricron tendencies.... such as the suggestion of "relax & play sometimes" for a Capricorn moon. Yea, my Sag rising has that covered. :) hehe. & then Scorpios tendency to be possessive or manipulative... yea, the Sag rising doesn't allow for any of that, either.

I do brood too much tho. Goddamn it. :) Well, what do you expect from a triple Crone??
  • Re: sun sign

My sun is in Cancer, my moon in Capricorn. Having a Sag rising keeps my introverted nature in check. Instead, I mood swing between mellow and jumpy, and overall I am quite optimistic.

As a matter of fact, my steady Taurean boyfriend calls me "Tigger" -- a nickname which I love :-)

What a cool idea for a tribe, btw!

      I concur. What fun.

I'd have to say I'm pretty weird astrologically, too.

Sun in Capricorn, Moon in Leo with Sag rising and Mars in Aries.

And if anything, my big teeth prove my horsiness! But I'm just a lot of hot earth. Or, as some astrological seer on the radio once said of me, a "smouldering volcano."

Bringing up an old topic here...

I have sun in Virgo, Moon in Aries, and of course, Sag rising.

I used to feel that my Sag rising helped my shyness and allow me to get what I wanted out of life, but now with Pluto conjunct my asc., I'm feeling very unfriendly and it's hard to keep up my nice face. Anyone else having this problem?

I do think that Sag rising is one of the most complimentary rising signs for a Virgo sun. I'm not boring like the majority of them! (Not to sterotype my often mis-interpreted sun sign! :) )

Hey. I'm a Sun Pisces, Moon Cap and Sag rising and I find that the Pisc/Cap influence tends to make me shy and react emotionally to things but the Sag rising tends to influence my destiney i.e lots of foreign travel, appearing extroverted to others (when I'm actually not) and liking my freedom and independence. I think people have also commented on my bluntness and untactfullness when it comes to voicing my opinions on things. Also when in public my first reaction is to appear extroverted, congenial and funny and when they get to know me that is when I lapse back into my shy, emotional and introverted mode. I think these opposing influence give me a real jeckle and hyde thing going on - people can never work me out!

Cancer Sun, Virgo Moon, Sagittarius rising :) with Neptune right on my Sag rising crazy mix i tell you..

growing up i was very shy, introverted but yet I was always the really popular loner girl lol
I would prefer to be a lone yet everyone would come to me and wanna be my friend & wanna hang out, i really felt naked *& out of my skin too much to be social like that!!..

but now it's all different, i've developed confidence, have many friends, I'm always out & about but when I'm at home, my sun sign kicks in and I just want to be BY MYSELF and to myself.. !!! I am always thinking and analyzing my day, life, my relationships (virgo moon) and have this weird hunger to try N learn as much as I can about just the littlest things (i have a 4 personal planet stellium in my 9th house which rules Jupiter!)

geez, but I do have so much to thank my Sagg rising bc it has attracted many great friends to me and has made me seem like an interesting & fun individual (even tho I'm so not lol)

I know this is a Sag Rising frum but anyone know more about having Neptune RIGHT on my Sag rising!??!!
from what I hear it adds more to my outter persona/image and ppl see in me what THEY want to see.. kinda like a mirror image of themselves in a way or seeing in me what they wanna see... can anyone confirm, add, comment on this>!>!?!?!?!

thanks guys.. btw i'm so new to all this... nice to meet all you fellow Sagge Rising folks =)

Capricorn sun and aqua moon here! Talk about absolutely normal chaos. Cap is definitely a calming influence on my Sag rising, so I can at least hold still long enough to be a good listener, but I embrace constant change (and move of physical address) more than some Caps I've met. I definitely feel like I have split personalities, and it can combine in so many ways that it's like reaching in a bag of jelly beans - you never know what you're going to get. Hell, even I don't know what I'm going to get. Depending on my mood, the weather, my stroke of inspiration at any given moment, I can be either the stand-up comedian talking a blue streak or the eerily distant people-watcher. Some days I'll schedule every minute of my day, and others I'll get in the car and drive.....somewhere, but I hadn't thought that far ahead. Most days, my train of thought is absolutely impossible for anyone to follow, which is probably why I started drawing and painting. In the complete failure of words, I have to say, "HERE is what goes on in my head." Other times serious Cappy melancholy prevails, putting a damper on Sag spontaneity and Aquarian creativity, but the scale always tips back the other way eventually.

Well it looks like I'm going to have to speak up and represent the AQUARIANS here. :D

So: Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon. Sag Rising makes it interesting, let me tell you... but it definitely gets along fabulously with my Sun. Aquarius and Sag love one another, and it just makes me super freedom-loving, spontaneous, idealistic, crazy, intellectual, optimistic, and philosophical like nobody's business. ;)

Virgo Moon... has learned to deal with the craziness. So I end up wild and crazy with a touch of anal/OCD qualities. I'm crazy, but at least I'm neat and precise!

I mean, if it was not complicated enough with the signs I have, gemini in venus just complicates it more. Think about it, cancer, scorpio, sag and gemini. Cancer is the hardest sign to pin down and detail, we cover such a wide range spectrum and then contradict even ourselves, I dont know if you understand. We are the most complicated sign, scorpio adds to my mystery or secretiveness, sag adds aloofness, gemini venus well...you should know LOL. Hope your not taking it the wrong way.

When it comes to dating, I admit, I'm confusing. One one hand, it would be nice to be in a committed relationship, but then I would have to give up everyone I'm dating lol.
